Tag Aloha is deeply committed to sourcing Fairtrade certified cotton for our products. We took the extra steps and investment to align Tag Aloha with a global movement making trade fair. In doing so, we hope to inspire others to act by purchasing Fairtrade products and supporting the overall movement. The Fairtrade mark on all of our products allows you to align your values with your purchasing power, knowing you are part of creating a world that respects farmers and workers globally! Surfrider Foundation

Tag Aloha is a proud supporter of the Surfrider Foundation's mission to protect our ocean, waves, and beaches. We are proud to have been able to donate $11,000 so far to assist with their efforts! As we continue to provide support to the Surfrider Foundation, we are excited to see them make progress towards their goal of protecting 100% of our coasts.

84 cents of every dollar donated to the Surfrider Foundation directly funds their mission to protect the world's ocean, waves, and beaches.

Here are some of the amazing things that the Surfrider O’ahu Chapter have been doing to protect our ocean, beaches and streams:

• Installed 24 water quality monitoring sites (sampling 2x/month for fecal indicator bacteria along the shore)
• Hosted over 8 community garden workdays at their 11,000 sq ft. Ocean Friendly Garden. (Filtering the rainwater before it goes to our ocean)
• Spearheading 4 active local campaigns ranging from beach access to coastal preservation which are as follows:
  • Protect Puʻuloa  from lead contamination 70x the residential standard
  • Save ʻEwa from a proposed 1,500 ft long sea barrier
  • Save the North shore, where we work alongside community members and organizations to support short and long-term solutions to preserve beaches across the North Shore
  • Restoring access at Kaʻapuni drive to ensure everyone has access
• As well as 2 active state wide campaigns:
  • Pass SB2984 to improve the DOH beach monitoring and public notification system
  • Pass SB2519 to limit the length of emergency shoreline structures
• They have also completed 16 beach cleanups in the last year and collected over 2,782 lbs of trash from our local beaches and streams

Tag Aloha is deeply invested in the people and natural environment that make Hawaii paradise. We've expanded our impact to give back to life-changing experiences that take place at the beach! Through our partnership with AccesSurf, we are humbled to support an inclusive community that empowers people with disabilities through accessible beach and water programs.

AccesSurf provides over 40 programs and 2500 ocean experiences annually to share the healing power of the ocean with visitors and kamaaina, including its monthly Day At The Beach and Wounded Warrior programs, its annual International Adaptive Surf Competition, and its Adaptive Paddling program. Through your support of Tag Aloha, we can help continue AccesSurf's inspiring work to advance adaptive water sports, ocean recreation, and therapeutic instruction for people with disabilities worldwide.
